Private coaching lessons for teams and individuals preparing for competitions can be arranged.
Classes conducted by our Resident Head Coach, Mr Johnny Ng who has been coaching at Arena Sukan for the last 10 years. His coaching experience is impressive – from MSN Chief Coach, Coach at Sarawak Badminton Association and personal coach to Sabati, to name a few.
Highly qualified from the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM), he holds a Sports Academy qualification from BAM in the field of Sports Medicine, Sports Conditioning, Sports Coaching, Sports Psychology and Public Relations; and Sports Science Certificates from the National Council (ISN)

Enrol for our weekly futsal training session by a dedicated team of young aspiring coaches who, besides imparting the fundamentals of futsal techniques and Laws of the Game, also aims to foster team building, improve playing and mental skills, inculcate a spirit of sportsmanship and promote a healthy life style.
Futsal training is part of our Akademi Futsal Arena Sukan (AFAS), an initiative started in 2018 by Mr Lucas Kallang (the former assistant coach of the Sarawak team to Alan Vest and an internationally qualified coach in his own right (FAM/AFC/FIFA) in collaboration with Mr Alan Vest. Vest was largely responsible for raising the level of football in Sarawak to a point that we were a team to reckon with in the FAM. Be a part of AFAS today and you might stand a chance to be selected to represent our AFAS team in our annual Junior Futsal Tournament.

Taekwondo
For ages 8 and above.
Weekly classes are available for all levels:
Fridays: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
A martial art using 80 foot techniques and about 20 hand techniques. Together with the Bandar Kuching Taekwondo Club (TM/WTF), classes are offered for all levels. Gradings are done regularly to assess the progress of the students and to bring them to the next level.
Ideal for kids to spend their weekend learning taekwondo as a way to build a more disciplined individual.
Instructor: Master Steven Chai, a dedicated and official Taekwondo instructor from TM/WTF (Bandar Kuching Taekwondo Club) for almost 10 years. A 3rd dan, he has attended a special course of the World Taekwondo Instructors Academy in Korea conducted by The Grand Master Kyu-Hyum Lee.

Trial Coaching Classes
We offer interested students one Trial Class at RM25.00, if they wish to try the Coaching class before signing up for the monthly classes.
Coaching Uniform
All coaching students must be attired in the respective Arena Sukan coaching uniforms for Badminton and Taekwondo. Available from Arena Sukan Sports Shop.
Student Eca Report Card
Arena Sukan issues ECA (extra curricular /co-curricular activities) report cards at the end of each sporting year to students under our coaching scheme. This report card can be accredited towards the students school ECA points.
The ECA cards can only issued to coaching students who has consistently attended classes for a continuous period of 6 months and who has no fees outstanding.
